Two years in development, the SWIFT waterfed pole is a truly revolutionary pole, setting new standards in weight, stiffness and durability.

For these reasons, the SWIFT pole won the Innovation award at the 2010 WINDEX Exhibition.

The Swift range utilises Ionic's new TRANSVERSE clamps, which have a smaller profile reducing both pole weight and collapsed length. Because they grip the sections with a wider clamping area, they grip more powerfully and evenly, leading to improved rigidity.

The actual material that the Swift is made from is also revolutionary. Swift poles utilise specially developed Multi-Modulus Carbon Fibre construction throughout, together with a new Thermoplastic Toughened Matrix system. The combination of the material concept has enabled improved rigidity, (or stiffnes) as well as reducing the overall pole weights even further, but without compromising on renowned durability.

In addition, sections also incorporate a woven carbon fibre (or glass fibre for the handle section) fabric in their construction which which further enhances the products working life. The result of all these developments is a range of poles that are amazingly lightweight, very rigid and extremely hard-wearing.
