Damp Mopping

Damp Mopping
The removal of light to moderate soiling.

Equipment:
  • Warning Sign – “cleaning in progress”
  • Dust Control Mop
  • Mop and Wringer Bucket
  • Detergent
Method:
  • Erect warning sign
  • Sweep area with Dust Control Mop
  • Dilute the detergent to manufacturer’s recommendations and put in bucket
  • Mop the floor using a damp mop, working backwards towards the exit
  • Clean all equipment
  • Remove warning sign when floor is dry
Beware:
If you use too much chemical the floor could be sticky or dry with white residue
If you use a dirty mop or water the floor will not be clean

Recommended Products:
If the floor does not have a metalised finish or seal on it, use - Lemon Hard Surface Cleaner or Orange MPC – Multi-Purpose Citrus Cleaner/Degreasers
Spray & Wipe Sanitiser – Bactericidal hard surface cleaner that also sanitises the floor
Lift HD Cleaner – Low foaming, Heavy duty industrial cleaner, also used on safety flooring
If the floor does have a metalised finish or seal on it, use -  Neutralift – A Neutral chemical that cleans the floor without damaging the seal or polish.
Pine or Lemon Floor Gel or a Floor Maintainer – Buff to a shine when dry
